Make this like you would for fried chicken and salvage those frozen turkey leftovers.

Ingredients

  • Turkey leftovers (thawed)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

1

Soaked turkey leftovers in buttermilk in the fridge for the afternoon.

2

Make a coating of flour, ground sage, salt, and cayenne pepper as you might use for fried chicken.

3

Drain the turkey on cooling racks, then dredge in the flour mixture.

4

Put back on the racks to dry completely before frying in a deep fat fryer of Canola Oil.

Notes

For crispier turkey, repeat the dredging and drying process up to three times.
